BACK TO SHAKESPEARE

Romeo and Juliet is a Shakespeare's early tragedy about two teenage lovers whose deaths finally unite their fighting families. It was one of Shakespeare's most famous plays during his lifetime.

Children from Critchton School have elaborated a fantastic page explaining this worldknown play.

1. First of all read the plot and try to understand who the characters are, what the relationshipp between them is and who belong to the Montague family and who to the Capulet family.If you have any problems with vocabulary, look up the words.

2. Once you know what the story is about, read about each family. First read about the Montagues and explain why they hate the Capulets. Give some reasons.

3.After reading the interview write some of the definitions they use to describe the Capulets.

4. Now go to the Capulets' page and try to understand why they hate the Montagues. Give some reasons. Are they different or similar as the Montagues' reasons?
